Mordhau: How to Drag/Accel

I won't pretend that I am a pro Mordhau player, but I would like to leverage my 700+ hours of gameplay experience as my ticket to writing this guide. Please let me know if you see any inaccurate information or have any suggestions.
What is a Drag?
In short, a Drag is the action of using a combination of footwork and aim manipulation to increase the time an attack takes to hit your opponent. A good Drag results in the enemy blocky early and your blow avoiding their block.
What is an Accel?
Think of an Accel as the opposite of a Drag. An Accel is the combination of footwork and mouse manipulation to reduce the time an attack takes to hit your opponent. A good Accel results in the enemy not blocking fast enough allowing your attack to slip through their defenses.
So how do I Drag/Accel?
Dragging and accelerating effectively requires coordinating your mouse movement with precise footwork. Here's how to master both: Keep your mouse movements smooth. When initiating a drag, move your mouse in the direction you want to accelerate and ensure deliberate motions rather than sudden jerky movements. A large part of these maneuvers is having correct mouse sensitivity. Second, your footwork provides the foundation for acceleration. Time your key presses to match your mouse direction. Push forward with your movement keys while simultaneously dragging your mouse to build momentum smoothly. The key is synchronization—they should feel like one fluid action, not separate inputs. You will know your doing it right when everything feels fluid. As you press forward, drag your mouse in that direction with purpose. This creates momentum that feels responsive and natural. Practice in open areas first to develop muscle memory before applying it in high-pressure situations. Overtime you will develop muscle memory to produce slow elaborate drags and lighting fast accels.
Weapons?
When it comes to dragging and accelerating weapons, a huge part to their success is the weapon you use. With my personal experience, some of the best weapons for these moves include:
Halberd
Zweihander
Greatsword
You get the picture. Any large 2-handed weapon is great for dragging and accelerating. Basically any weapon that can be easily manipulated to change its contact time is great for these maneuvers.
Learning to drag/accel with less favorable weapons can leave your openent more vulnerable as they will expect fients much more than drags/accels.
How do I become a master at Drags/Accels?
The main way to become a master (Or at least better) is to practice. Practice doesn't make perfect but it does make you better. Keep swinging and one day they will land!
I highly recommend not using third-person while learning Drags/Accels. Although it makes your ability to do such moves easier, it makes it significantly harder to read movements of your opponent. It is paramount that you get used to and good at first-person to quickly improve your skill.
